“Wrapping up 2020, and moving into 2021, I took a few moments to reflect on not only this past year but on the past 2 years since the beginning of Impress Service. 2021 marks Impress Service’s 2nd anniversary, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about how far we have come over the years and the exciting future that lies ahead.” ―Ferrat Destine, CEO, Impress Service
1. This year we celebrate Impress Service’s 2nd anniversary. What thoughts and emotions come to mind when you think about that?
We recognize how hard it is to build a business and the key elements needed for success. We work in a business that allows us to empathize with our customers by listening carefully to their requirements and tailoring our numerous cleaning plans to suit their unique needs. It is a privilege we take seriously, and I think that has brought us this far.
2. What made you start Impress Service? Where did you draw inspiration to start and build this incredible business?
I wanted to give to my community and I was looking for something that would allow me to affect people irrespective of their background or social status. Cleaning came in handy because it is a service that everyone needs often and it allows us to make the difference right there, and everyone sees and appreciates the outcome of our carefully done job.
3. What were your visions in 2020 and how have you met them or even surpassed those visions?
Well, we set out to be the #1 cleaning company in the New Jersey, and we were able to achieve that to a large extent. I find that remarkable, considering the work we had to put in, and how the relationship our staff have built in the service of Impress Service LLC. We now have streaks of repeat orders and we never fall short of expectations.
4. In what different ways have you grown Impress Service over the past 2 years?
I would say our reach and communication. We have served several clients in the Garden state and I think this is one thing they find unique about us, and it has helped us build a strong relationship with our clients. Our staff is also disciplined than the average maid in the industry because we are committed to service and that is how we have been able to earn the trust of our clients.
5. What do you see as the biggest accomplishments since your start in 2018?
Our greatest accomplishment is being ranked #1. You know there were several cleaning companies in the industry before we came in. We were able to differentiate our service by creating affordable plans which our clients can purchase online, and keeping to our promise to provide excellent and timely cleaning service at all times. Our Facebook Messenger chatbot is also another aspect of our service that I am impressed about. With this chat or, anyone can interact and order our services 24/7.
6. What is your favorite part about your job? What excites you most?
As the CEO of Impress Service LLC, I get to share my personal experiences in the industry with my team each day. Sometimes what makes the difference is the way we communicate with our clients. At other times it is about doing a darn good job. I love to teach my staff to employ the right communication and service delivery skills.
7. What other CEO’s do you look up to and who has inspired you to have the work ethic that you do? Who is your business role model?
I have a couple of people that I admire my dad who taught me hard work, integrity, and building a great reputation.
8. What is the best piece of leadership advice you have received?
The Big Six come to mind: Face reality as it is, not as it was, or you wish it were. Be candid with everyone. Don’t manage, lead. Change before you have to. If you don’t have a competitive advantage, don’t compete. Control your destiny, or someone else will. But at a vision level, it probably centers on servant leadership and creating something that gives more than it receives. If you can do both, success will usually follow.
9. Where do you expect to go in the next 10 years?
In what ways do you expect to grow? We have our eyes on providing timely and efficient cleaning services across the country, not just New Jersey. We want to be the #1 cleaning agency in all of the United States. It is not going to happen because we do cleaning, we will get there by continually exceeding our customer’s expectations as we have always done leading us to the point where we are right now. We know for sure that we will need more hands in the business as we grow and these people will include highly skilled professionals in diverse areas.
