Who are you and what business did you start?

My name is Stina Garbis, and my company is Psychic Stina. I am a tarot card expert and astrologer, with a heavy focus on love. I am @psychicstina on tiktok with 200k followers.

What’s your backstory and how did you come up with the idea?

I started off in the early 1990’s as an old school telephone psychic on several “976” numbers that people would find in the back of magazines and newspapers. I was 15 years old. After I graduated from the psychic line and I went into business branding myself as “Psychic Stina”

Describe the process of launching the business.

I primarily give private readings and my business started as word of mouth. When the internet became a thing, I turned to google and yelp to grow my mainly local business. A client approached me and told me about tiktok back in August of 2020, I started creating psychic reading tiktoks and my client list started growing dramatically.

Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?

I have many customers return because my predictions came to fruition. I believe in giving the best service I can. I focus on completely understanding my client, and giving them everything that I have, in a judgement free zone. I am not a stickler for time, and I believe in finishing the reading and will go overtime. Helping my clients is my #1 priority. To attract customers I focus on creating content that is useful to my followers, trying to understand them and give them the best I have as well.

How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

My business has dramatically improved since tiktok, and I am branching out into other areas instead of just giving readings. I wrote a book, “Find Freedom from Love Anxiety and Manifest and Ideal Love” available on my website, and I am focusing on collaborations with brands. My business has turned from me being a local psychic, to me becoming an online personality. The future looks bright. My online presence is growing and my audience is truly worldwide. I’m working with other companies and my income is growing through multiple sources and I am excited to hit big financial goals that I have set in the past and never thought possible.

Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?

Get on Social Media asap. Provide fun content, not all sale pitches. Help your audience by giving them useful content for free, give as much as you can, and you will attract more clients. Focus on bringing increase to everyone you meet.

What platform/tools do you use for your business?

Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube. I have a website, a linktree, and many apps that help me automate my business, from posting videos to scheduling readings.

What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?

Studying the book “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles everyday for 3 months. I got involved with Bob Proctor and the Proctor Gallagher Institute a year before I started tiktok, and I worked on understanding that my purpose was greater than what I was thinking and began expanding my vision. Shortly after studying the science of getting rich I discovered tiktok and my income increased by 10.

Advice for other entrepreneurs who want to get started or are just starting out?

Use Social media to showcase your best you instead of only making ads trying to sell people stuff.
