What’s your backstory and how did you come up with the idea?

My husband was always complaining that he could never wash his hands in the laundry sink because I was always soaking clothes in there. He told me to do something about it, so I accepted the challenge and designed the Brisbane made laundry soaking system called the Soka Tub.

Describe the process of launching the business.

Lots of research, brainstorming and surrounding myself around like minded people. It takes a village to start a business!

Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?

Giving lots of value and education

How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

I am made in Australia so I have no supply chain issues. I am expanding my platforms to be able to bring more awareness to not only my product but ways to be more eco friendly, sustainable and successful in the laundry to reduce textile landfill waste and water consumption.

Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?

Postage is expensive!!

Advice for other entrepreneurs who want to get started or are just starting out?

So many great ideas go to the grave. If there is a hole in the market then that’s a sign to start your business and fill that hole!!
