Online DIAlux Evo Training is required for the international standard in lighting design software and is available to anybody involved in the planning of interior and outdoor lighting, emergency lighting, road lighting, and realistic visualization.
Burraq Institute is an experienced user and trainer for DIALux Evo software, offering training as part of organized courses through the Lighting Industry Academy (click for course availability and pricing) and available for you to join as an individual in a group, or for companies to have training delivered on-site for design teams.
Purpose of this training
The primary goal of this Dialux Training Course is to teach users how to professionally design, calculate, and visualize light for single rooms, entire floors, buildings, and outdoor scenes. This design tool is used to calculate and visualize lighting with a detailed design output. The course also discusses the software’s capabilities that allow users to interact with team members to create professional-looking designs that meet their intended goals. The training is typically delivered using the most recent version of Dialux Evo and concludes with a Certificate of Attendance.
Dates are posted on the Academy training sites, however if you have any queries or cannot locate a course that works for you, please contact us directly. Courses can be delivered in person (if COVID permits) or entirely online.
The following courses are available: –
Online DIALux evo Training
The DIALux Evo foundation course is intended to guide delegates through the fundamentals of DIALux Evo. You will learn how to build up small projects to get simple lighting design results, such as: –
- Using picture files and CAD designs
- Single and several room options
- Assessing illuminance in accordance with EN
- Constructing and lighting rooms and structures with uniformly spaced arrays of luminaires
- Outputs include printing drawings and reports.
Delegates will use the program in real time while working with the tutor on worked examples. Throughout the workshop, the instructor will answer questions and address software-related difficulties.
Intermediate DIALux Evo Training
The DIALux Evo Intermediate course builds on the foundation by introducing attendees to more detailed settings of the software, such as: o emergency lighting, o daylight calculation, o working on complex building designs with multiple interconnected stories, o use of 3D objects with simple Boolean operations, o importing BIM files.
- comprehensive maintenance evaluations, o Ray tracing
- Scenes
Delegates will use the program in real time while working with the tutor on worked examples. Throughout the workshop, the instructor will answer questions and address software-related difficulties.
Advanced DIALux Evo Training
The DIALux Evo Advanced course builds on the intermediate course and introduces attendees to advanced software functionality, such as:
- Extensive daylight design,
- energy monitoring,
- complex grids and lighting calculation,
- exterior and road lighting design through to complete site design,
- complex Boolean operations and 3DS file use,
- setup of templates and outputs (DIALux subscription required).
Delegates will use the software in real time while working with the tutor on worked examples. Throughout the workshop, the tutor will answer questions and address software-related problems.
DIALux Evo Foundation with Lighting Design Fundamentals
essentially the Foundation level course, but as we come across lighting definitions in the software, the tutor will explain the concept in detail from lighting science, taking the time to ensure you have a foundation in lighting knowledge as well as in the software.
